The American "Desert News" website highlighted the top five destinations that are expected to be the most popular in 2023, with Egypt among these destinations.

Under the title "Expectations for the Year 2023: Five Global Destinations that Will See Popularity," the site explained that these destinations were chosen because they are distinguished by the presence of new museums that will be opened, or by easing travel restrictions, which makes them attractive destinations during the year 2023.

Egyptian tourist places

The site also shed light on a number of tourism components and activities in the Egyptian tourist destination, which it described as "icon" due to its distinction and uniqueness, including visiting the Giza pyramids, which contain the pyramid of Khufu, the only surviving wonder of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Add to that the Grand Egyptian Museum after its opening, a visit to historic Cairo and the city of Alexandria, and a Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan, and he also mentioned a number of famous tourist restaurants in the Egyptian tourist destination.

The best winter holidays

The British newspaper "The Independent" provided its readers with a list of the best warm destinations to enjoy the winter of 2023 away from clouds, rain and cold weather in the United Kingdom, under the title "The best last-minute winter holidays to enjoy the January sun", and among them was Egypt.

The newspaper team stated that Egypt is on the list, despite the enthusiasm to travel to Egypt at the moment the Grand Egyptian Museum opened in a new location near the pyramids in Giza, to see the complete Tutankhamun collection inside one new “amazing” place, but that does not mean not to travel now to Egypt to enjoy its warm sun.

The amazing effects

The newspaper team added that what distinguishes Egypt, in addition to being a guaranteed site to enjoy the winter sun, is its amazing monuments that exist in many cities, giving tourists wishing to explore an additional dimension to their trip.

The newspaper said that Luxor (the average temperature in January is 23 degrees Celsius) and Aswan on the Nile River are the ideal locations for enjoying the sun, as well as getting to know the ancient civilization.

However, most British visitors will be based on the Red Sea beaches either around Hurghada on the western side, or in the resort strip of Sharm el-Sheikh (22°C in January) on the Sinai Peninsula.
