$13.6 billion.. High revenues of Egyptian tourism for these reasons

The number of tourist arrivals to Egypt is expected to increase after the easing of travel restrictions related to "Covid-19".

Research firm "Fitch Solutions" expects tourism revenues to reach a record $13.6 billion this year, an increase of 17.7% compared to last year.

The return of Chinese tourism to Egypt

After a 3-year hiatus since the start of the Corona pandemic crisis, Cairo International Airport received the first Chinese tourist delegation coming from the Chinese city of Chengdu.

Engineer Yehia Zakaria, head of the EgyptAir Holding Company, said that there are 1,200 requests submitted to EgyptAir by travel and tourism agents in China to organize trips to Egyptian tourist destinations.

It is scheduled to increase the number of flights between Egypt and China, starting from March, to 13 flights, including 7 flights to Guangzhou, 3 flights to Beijing, and 3 flights to Hanzhou.

On the other hand, Ghada Shalaby, Deputy Minister of Tourism, expressed her aspiration to increase the number of Chinese tourists, calling for providing them with various and distinguished programs.

The tourism market in China is a very important source for stimulating global tourism, because it exports nearly 150 million Chinese tourists annually, spending more than $250 billion during their tours.

Egypt has not received any Chinese tourist group since the outbreak of the Corona virus in 2019, before Cairo Airport announced the arrival of the first Chinese tourist group coming from the Chinese city of Zhenjud, to be the first tourist trip since the beginning of Covid-19.

Water tourism in Germany

On a related level, the activities of the International Water Tourism Exhibition were launched in Dusseldorf, Germany, with the participation of dozens of water tourism companies, as Egypt participates with a large pavilion for this type of tourism.

 The conference takes place every year at this time. In order to support this type of tourism in all countries of the world.

Egypt is participating this year, along with a number of other Arab countries, and it is not the first time for Cairo to participate, as it has been participating for 20 years.

Participation in the International Water Tourism Exhibition brings income to Egyptian tourism, in addition to allowing interviews with major international tourism companies.

It can be said that yacht tourism is one of the best and most prestigious types of tourism, as its income return is very high, and the exhibition in Germany includes two yacht showrooms for the world's richest people.

It is expected that by 2025, Egypt will compete with the countries of the world in yacht tourism, by between 15 and 20 percent, as it has taken very good steps, and work has begun in the Mediterranean and Red Bahrain.
