In cooperation with South Korea, Egypt establishes a government procurement system

Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohamed Maait, said that the state plans to establish a government procurement system.

 

 The Minister of Finance said during his speech at the first conference to reformulate the Egyptian brand "Rebranding Egypt Summit", that the state is currently working on the e-government procurement system in cooperation with South Korea.

 

 Mohamed Maait confirmed that the state was able in the previous period to govern all tax procedures, by launching an automated system for tax procedures, and the system will be extended to all parts of the Republic in next December.

 

 Maait explained that the normal rate of daily bill collection has become one, which is a quarter of a million bills, after the electronic mechanization that was called "electronic billing."

 

 He added that the ministry discovered in the period before the collection automation that there is 55% of Egypt's economy that is not visible and anonymous, and is not registered for taxes, so we started the steps of digital transformation and automation of services;  For the possibility of extracting the domestic product in a more transparent manner, to help reduce the proportion of the informal sector in the country.
