Operating 5,000 closed rooms in hotels
Ahmed Issa, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, said that the Egyptian tourist destination had more than 25,000 closed rooms in 190 hotels.
He added, by working and promoting the tourism product, we were able to operate 5,000 rooms in them, and now we have only 19,000 rooms in 170 hotels, and work is underway to open the other rooms.
A new product for Gulf tourism
The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities continued, in his meeting with journalists on the tourism and antiquities file, that the ministry is preparing to prepare a new product for Gulf tourism and improve the tourism experience, which will be launched soon to increase tourism activity for the Egyptian destination.
He continued that the Egyptian tourism product is rich and diverse, which requires the tourist to ensure that a good program is prepared for his visit to Egypt through tourism companies so that he can enjoy all the tourist components and activities.
Incoming tourism movement to Egypt
He pointed out that indicators and statistics indicate an increase in inbound tourism traffic to Egypt in November 2023 by 5% to 10%, as it becomes one of the best months in tourism traffic compared to last year.

The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities pointed out that the Tourism Promotion Authority played a major role in clarifying the security situation in Egypt after the events of October 7 and sent about 300 responses to international professional partners from international tourism tour operators, to reassure them.
