Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will receive Kevin McCarthy, Speaker of the US House of Representatives, tomorrow, Wednesday, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo.
It is scheduled that the Foreign Minister will hold official talks with the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, on his first visit to Cairo since taking office, to succeed Nancy Pelosi, the former Speaker of the US House of Representatives.

The visit of the US House of Representatives to Cairo is part of a tour that included Israel, where he met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday morning, in addition to holding a meeting with Israeli President Isaac Herzog.
US House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy, in his speech to the Israeli Knesset, urged Israel to do more to ensure that China does not steal its technologies.
"Our innovation is at risk from a new threat, which is the Chinese Communist Party," McCarthy warned, according to the Israeli newspaper (The Jerusalem Post).
"While the Chinese Communist Party may masquerade as promoters of innovation, it is in fact behaving like thieves. We must not allow them to steal our technologies," he added.
In a related, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives said: "Iran is the main threat to peace in the Middle East."

During Nancy Pelosi's recent visit to Egypt, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held a meeting with the US House of Representatives delegation headed by Pelosi and members of her accompanying delegation, which included a number of heads of various committees and members of the House of Representatives.
Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Minister Shoukry at the time was keen during the meeting to emphasize the strategic nature of relations between Egypt and the United States, and they are united by joint cooperation and coordination within the framework of strengthening regional security and achieving stability, prosperity and development.
