After the return of Russian tourism.. 9.5 billion pounds are invested in Aswan

It seems that Russian tourism will return to Egypt again, as Aswan is preparing to receive the movement of Russian tourism and other different nationalities, to enjoy the tourism potential and the unique diversity of tourism patterns that include cultural, archaeological, environmental and therapeutic tourism, safari tourism, hunting and bird watching.

Major General Ashraf Attia, the governor of Aswan, in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Chamber of Tourist Companies, called for adding a night of tourist nights to the program of Russian tourists during their visit to the cities of Marsa Alam, Safaga and Hurghada, to ensure that they enjoy visiting more different archaeological and tourist areas.

A civilized shift in Aswan

During his meeting with Victor Vorobiev, the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Hurghada, the governor emphasized the depth of the distinguished historical relations between Egypt and Russia, and Aswan's readiness to receive the Russian tourism movement and other different nationalities, to enjoy the tourism potential and the unique diversity of tourism patterns that include cultural, archaeological, environmental, therapeutic and tourism tourism, Safari, hunting and birdwatching.

For his part, the Russian consul expressed his happiness at visiting Aswan Governorate, as it is one of the distinguished tourist destinations on the international tourism map and one of the best international resorts. The consul expressed his desire to increase the areas of cooperation between the Russian side and Aswan Governorate in the fields of tourism, antiquities, culture, arts and education.

Vorobiev also praised the civilizational and aesthetic shift that the city of Aswan witnessed during the recent period, and the many achievements the Egyptian state has achieved in all sectors of public work, foremost of which are the ongoing projects of the presidential initiative "A Decent Life" and other initiatives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi Citizen investment plan for Aswan Governorate

In a related context, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development issued a report on the citizen's investment plan for Aswan Governorate 2022/2023.

The report mentioned the features of the sustainable development plan for the fiscal year 2022/2023 at the national level, pointing to targeting an economic growth rate of 5.5%, achieving an investment rate of about 15.2%, total investments estimated at 1,400 billion pounds, an unemployment rate of 7.3%, with savings of 950,000. A job opportunity through the expansion of programs to encourage self-employment and medium, small and micro enterprises.

The features of the plan also, according to the report, include directing 7% of public investments distributed to the governorates of Upper Egypt at a value of EGP 54 billion, in addition to 71.5% for infrastructure development at a value of EGP 583 billion, along with 24.7% for human and social development at an amount of EGP 195 billion, in addition to 3.8% of investments. Directed to local development programs at a value of 31.3 billion pounds.

9.5 billion pounds of public investments directed to Aswan

The report of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development reviewed the sectoral distribution of targeted public investments in Aswan Governorate, where public investments “2022-2023” amounted to about 9.5 billion pounds, distributed as follows:

1- EGP 3.6 billion, 38% for the water resources and irrigation sector.

2- 2.1 billion pounds, 22% for housing

3- 831 million pounds, 9% for transportation

4- 720 million pounds, 8% for higher education and scientific research

5- 578.5 million pounds, 6% for local development

6- 1.7 billion pounds, 17% for other sectors
