An American report listed Egypt among the best tourist destinations around the world for the year 2023, along with a number of countries, including Poland, Western Australia, England, South Carolina, the Fiji Islands, Brazil, Switzerland and Colombia.
According to the American "CNN" network, the American report shed light on the tourist attractions that Egypt in general and Cairo in particular hold, Opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
The report sheds light on the imminent opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, to which the eyes of the world are now turning, as it is one of the most open museums around the world.
The report referred to the various landmarks of Cairo, including the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, the Giza pyramids, and the historical landmarks of Islamic and Christian Cairo.
Best tourist destination for this year
According to Mohamed Farouk, a tourism expert, there is more than one party that chose Egypt as the best destination for this year, the latest of which was "CNN".
He said that the global consensus to classify Egypt as the best destination is due to several main reasons, including:
1- Opening the upcoming Grand Museum.
2- The celebration of Tutankhamun during the last period.
3- The renovations that took place in Al-Moez Street and Old Cairo, and the beginning of the implementation of some parts of the religious Egyptian holy journey.
The tourist expert explained that all the cultural capabilities announced during the past years contributed to the classification, including the procession of mummies, in addition to that Egypt was one of the first countries to open its borders in the Corona pandemic, and this helped increase the flow due to the narrowness of the stations that were present at that time.
