8 tasks for the Board of Directors of the Tourism and Antiquities
The law established the “Tourism and Antiquities Support Fund”, according to the text of the law, Its headquarters will be in the Cairo governorate, and it will report to the minister concerned with tourism and antiquities affairs.
The law defines the goals of the fund and it is:
Contributes with the concerned authorities in supporting and financing activities that raise the capabilities and qualifications of tourism and antiquities workers.
1. The development and revitalization of tourism, the development of services and tourist areas, and the projects of the Supreme Council of Antiquities related to the restoration, preservation and maintenance of antiquities
2. development of archaeological sites and areas.
3. Building and developing Egyptian museums to promote the unique Egyptian cultural heritage and preserve it for future generations, and to improve the tourism system in Egypt.
The Board of Directors of the Fund is considered the supreme authority dominating its affairs and managing its affairs, and it may take the necessary decisions to achieve the purpose of its establishment, in particular the following:
- Laying down regulations governing technical, financial, administrative and personnel affairs without being bound by governmental regulations, rules and regulations.
Laying down the rules regulating the disbursement of the fund's money.
- Drafting the fund's annual plan.
- Approval of the draft annual budget and final account.
- Considering the periodic reports submitted on the Fund's work progress and its financial position.
- Acceptance of grants, subsidies, donations and endowments that are consistent with the purposes of the Fund after the approval of the ministries and competent authorities.
- Approval of loans held for the benefit of the Fund and consistent with its purposes after the approval of the ministries and competent authorities.
- Considering what the minister concerned with tourism and antiquities sees as presented to the Council of issues that fall within the competence of the fund.
On a connected level, The Ministry of Environment worked to development of 13 reserves out of a total of 30 with the establishment of a great incentive for environmental investment, which is the coverage prepared by colleague Mahmoud Reda Al-Zamily and presented by colleague Sarah Ismail.
