$8 billion... the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and America in 2022

The value of trade exchange between Egypt and the United States of America increased to $8 billion during the first 10 months of 2022. Trade exchange witnessed $7.2 billion during the same period in 2021, with an increase of 12.2%.
Data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics revealed that the value of Egyptian exports to the United States of America decreased to $2 billion during the first 10 months of 2022, compared to $2.1 billion during the same period in 2021, with a slight decrease of 5.2%.
The value of Egyptian imports from the United States of America recorded $6 billion during the first 10 months of 2022, compared to $5.1 billion during the same period in 2021, an increase of 19.3%.
The most important commodity groups that Egypt exported to the United States of America during the first 10 months of 2022:
1. Apparel worth $1.1 billion.
2. Plastics and articles thereof, with a value of $137.6 million.
3. Carpets and floor coverings, worth $128.5 million.
4. Glass and its articles, valued at $74.7 million.
5. Vegetables and plants, worth $52.7 million.
