The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to the statements of two Israeli government ministers who had called for the displacement of the residents of Gaza.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry’s statements sparked interaction on social media, and the US State Department responded to them.

Displacement of the population of Gaza

The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s condemnation and categorical rejection of the extremist statements of two ministers in the Israeli occupation government, who called for the displacement of the residents of Gaza, the reoccupation of the Gaza Strip, and the construction of settlements.

Violating the rules of international legitimacy

The Kingdom stresses the importance of the concerted efforts of the international community to activate international accountability mechanisms against the Israeli occupation government’s continued violation, through its statements and actions, of the rules of international legitimacy and international humanitarian law.

Leaving the Gaza Strip

The far-right Israeli National Security Minister, Itamar Ben Gvir, along with the Israeli Finance Minister, Bezalel Smotrich, presented the proposal earlier this week. Smotrich called on the Palestinians to leave the Gaza Strip to make way for the Israelis who can “make the desert flourish.” According to Reuters.

Ben Gvir expressed his support for the resettlement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip abroad, declaring that the war represents “an opportunity to focus on encouraging the migration of Gazans” during a political meeting.

Enticing and irresponsible

Earlier, US State Department spokesman Matt Miller said that “such statements do not reflect the policy of the Israeli government,” and described them as “inflammatory and irresponsible.”

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the number of victims of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7 had risen to 22,438 martyrs and 57,614 wounded.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said that the occupation forces committed 13 massacres against families during the past 24 hours, killing 125 martyrs and 318 injured.

In a related context, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of Hamas, announced today, Thursday, that it had destroyed an Israeli Merkvah tank with a “Shawaz” device, west of Al-Maghazi, in the central Gaza Strip.
