Decent life

In the past years, the presidential initiative "A Decent Life" has achieved many achievements for Egyptians, especially in villages.

The beginning of a decent life in 2019

The beginning was on January 2, 2019, when the Egyptians were on a date with the announcement of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who would change the face of Egypt and end the problems of millions.

On that day, President El-Sisi wrote on his official account on Facebook and Twitter to announce (the launch of a national initiative at the state level to provide a decent life for the neediest societal groups during the year 2019).

Development of the Egyptian countryside

After the president's announcement, a decent life initiative was launched to develop the lives of Egyptians in the neediest villages. The initiative works to change the quality of life of more than 58 million citizens in rural villages for the better.

The initiative's projects cover 4,500 villages, with a total of 175 centers in 20 governorates.

Improving the life of the citizen

Over the past years, the "Decent Life" project has achieved many achievements on the ground, which contributed to the development of the lives of millions of citizens in the poorest villages.

The projects are in full swing, in a race against time, faster than the expected rate, to raise the individual’s standard of living in all aspects of life, from “education, health, electricity connection, water and sewage networks, education, and establishment of libraries, financial and social support for families.”

Create thousands of projects

So far, the initiative has succeeded in constructing thousands of projects, turning it into the project of the century.

Education Field

Schools were replaced and renovated, classrooms were developed, new schools were built, and the efficiency of old schools was raised in a number of remote areas in the poorest villages, in order to improve the level of education and provide ways to provide better educational service to students and raise the level of their skills and abilities.

Health Services

"A Decent Life" has succeeded in improving the level of health services, through the establishment of many hospitals, health units, the provision of medical devices, the construction of equipped ambulance units, the provision of wheelchairs, as well as the launch of medical convoys, in various governorates of the Republic, especially in remote areas, Free examination and treatment for citizens, and operations for cases at the expense of the state.

Generous accommodation

Under the slogan "Decent Housing", "A Decent Life" has worked to improve the standard of homes inhabited by thousands of families in the poorest and most needy villages.

The efficiency of homes has been raised, infrastructure repaired, roofs built, water and sewage connections extended, and electricity connected, with the aim of providing human housing for poor and disadvantaged families, to achieve the slogan of the initiative on the ground by providing “decent housing” for the citizen.

Here, it can be said that the past three years, since the launch of the Decent Life Initiative until 2022, have witnessed great efforts of continuous work, with implementation rates in service complexes reaching 94%, agricultural complexes 92%, and health complexes 90%.

300 billion pounds in 20 governorates

For his part, the Minister of Local Development, Major General Hisham Amna, confirmed that the Decent Life initiative implemented, in the first phase, 23,900 projects in 1,477 villages in 20 governorates, at a cost of 300 billion pounds.

700 billion pounds is the cost of the decent life initiative

As for Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, he revealed during the recent economic conference that the cost of the “Decent Life” initiative, which is being implemented by the Egyptian state, exceeds 700 billion pounds.

slum development

The volume of investments to develop slums amounted to 425 billion Egyptian pounds, investments that have been implemented and are underway so far, to eliminate the phenomenon of unsafe areas that were a stigma on Egypt.

Despite the global economic crisis, the Egyptian state did not back down from completing projects for a decent life, and it still dazzles Egyptians with what has been achieved.

A trillion pounds plans for decent life projects

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi recently announced that the volume of targeted spending to implement the Decent Life Initiative will reach EGP 1 trillion.

The achievements of a decent life are still continuing, and the decent life project, which was launched by the President in 2019, is still achieving great achievements to serve the lives of 60 million Egyptians.
