And the National Bank of Egypt, Egypt and Cairo, made available the 17.25% certificate for a period of 3 years, thus becoming the highest high-return certificate in the banking sector, after closing the subscription to the 18% certificates that it had previously offered from Banque Misr and Al-Ahly Bank last March.

Minimum of 1000 pounds

The certificate of 17.25% can be purchased for a minimum of 1,000 pounds and its multiples, and it is possible to borrow against its guarantee, provided that the certificate may not be broken before the lapse of at least 6 months from the date of issuance.

8% increase in 2022

in 2022, the Central Bank of Egypt raised interest rates on deposits and lending by 8%, during the meetings of the Monetary Policy Committee, last December, when the committee raised interest rates by 300 basis points, to reach 16.25% for deposits, and 17.25% for lending.
