The activities of the second African medical conference and exhibition, "Africa Health ExCon", open today, Tuesday, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (Al-Manara Center for International Conferences).

These events, which are scheduled to be held during the period from (6 to 9) June 2023, will have the global participation of more than 90 countries, in addition to more than 1,200 speakers.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi called for attending the Second African Medical Conference and Exhibition for Tourism in Egypt, to visit tourism destinations of all kinds.

During his speech during the conference, President El-Sisi renewed Egypt's welcome to its guests, stressing that we are happy to have them on the land of Egypt.

Elimination of the C virus

President El-Sisi confirmed, at the beginning of his speech, that Egypt will soon celebrate the elimination of the C virus, according to the standards of the World Health Organization.

He added that Egypt targeted the C virus, which had a great negative impact on Egyptian families, and thanks to God, Egypt succeeded in combating it again, stressing that Egypt did not stand idly by in front of the challenges it faces and launched several presidential health initiatives.

Improving health conditions in Africa

He explained that Egypt was keen to play a very important role in improving health conditions in Africa.

The Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, stated that the volume of development that has taken place in Egypt in the health sector since 2014 until now is very large and huge.

In his speech, he pointed out that the numbers are not complete, and reflect the volume of medical spending on this sector. He also explained that in 2014 the volume of medical expenditure was estimated at 32 billion pounds, and the current fiscal year ended at 222 billion pounds.

Healthcare

The exhibition and conference bring all healthcare representatives to provide them with a unique opportunity to explore what is offered in various sectors such as medical supplies, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, laboratory consumables and chemicals, dental equipment and supplies, skin care products, nutrition and vitamins, and health care providers.

The conference activities include various sessions that review steps to increase Africa's capacity towards manufacturing vaccines and various treatments, in addition to discussing the latest medical technologies to advance women's health in Africa.

In addition to shedding light on the developments of the Egyptian reference "genome" project, which is the main pillar of personalized medicine and any advanced health system.
