10.5% increase Egyptian exports of ready-made clothes to America
Ready-made garments account for 57.9% of Egypt's exports to America.
Today, Sunday, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics issued a bulletin "Economic Relations between Egypt and the United States of America in 2022".

The bulletin deals with presentation and analysis of the volume of foreign trade with the United States of America (exports - imports) for the years 2021-2022.
The bulletin revealed that the value of Egyptian exports to the United States reached $2.3 billion in 2022, representing 4.5% of Egypt's exports to the world, compared to $2.5 billion in 2021, a decrease of 9.1%.
Exports of ready-made garments ranked first, accounting for 57.9% of total exports to the United States of America, reaching $1.3 billion in 2022, compared to $1.2 billion in 2021, an increase of 10.5%.
While the value of Egyptian imports from the United States of America amounted to $6.8 billion in 2022, representing 7.2% of Egypt's imports from the world, compared to $6.4 billion in 2021, an increase of 5.9%.
Imports of grains, oil fruits, and medicinal plants came first, accounting for 33.6% of total imports from the United States of America, reaching $2.3 billion in 2022, compared to $1.7 billion in 2021, with an increase of 33.9%.
Total exports to the Sultanate of Oman
In related context, The foreign trade report issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics revealed that Egypt's total exports to the Sultanate of Oman amounted to $29,110,000 during February 2023.
The report indicated that the most important items were concentrated in the following:
1- Fruits and vegetables, $9.75 million
2- Food products at $3.1 million
3- Electricity meter for 2.910 million dollars
4- Reception devices for 1.4 million dollars
5- Chocolate for 1.3 million dollars
6- Wooden and metal furniture for 1.1 million dollars
7- Medicines for 1.03 million dollars
