What does Egypt need to reach 100% tourist occupancy?
Mega projects such as the new administrative capital, resort development on the North Coast, and mixed-use master plans contribute to the country's business and tourism offerings.
Egypt is full of diverse tourism products, whether cultural, historical, religious, therapeutic, etc., and these products must be close to each other, so that can reach through them a global product that is comparable to what the major tourist countries offer.
The Egyptian government's global marketing campaign is expected to increase tourist flows in the next few years and support occupancy rates.
Influx of tourists
Egypt is a year-round destination that attracts a diverse mix of leisure and business travelers. New projects in the oil and gas, transport and communications sectors are boosting the flow of business travelers.
In addition, government investments, including a new National Museum and the opening of new international airports, are expected to drive the country's continued growth.

Tourism file
The Egyptian government has affirmed placing the "tourism" file at the top of its priorities, aiming to increase the number of tourists coming to the country during the next stage, and to attract foreign investment to this vital sector, as tourism contributes up to 15 % of Egypt's economic output, and is a major source of foreign exchange.
Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly stressed, during his meeting with tourist investors in the city of Sharm el-Sheikh (Sunday), the government's endeavor to attract revenues to the sector, revealing the desire to reach the "goal of $30 billion" from the tourism sector.
Marketing programs
Tourism expert Waheed Tohamy stressed in his statements, "The importance of what investors put forward regarding the implementation of marketing programs for tourist destinations in Egypt."
He cited the campaigns that the Turkish tourist capital, Antalya, is witnessing these days to attract thousands of European tourists, as it invited them to travel to it under the pretext of the warm weather it is characterized by, taking advantage of what is being raised about the energy crisis before the winter season.
Recommendations to the government
Waheed Tohamy added, "We need such publicity and campaigns in tourism promotion, by playing on the chord of enjoying a sunny vacation on the beaches and resorts of Egypt throughout the year. Comparing cold Antalya with open and warm places with a sunny nature, especially in Sharm el-Sheikh, Hurghada, Luxor and Aswan, the Egyptian destination will be preferred."
The tourism expert also points out "the importance of expanding the provision of tourism services within the framework of the trend to attract more tourists from all over the world and achieve high occupancy rates, including, for example, Internet services." Pointing out that «hotels provide it free of charge, but it is limited».
Noting that «Egypt is one of the most expensive countries in the cost of the Internet, and hotels incur exorbitant expenses for establishing networks, extending lines, etc., so they require a large investment and government intervention».
