After Egypt's success in dealing with the Corona virus, the Ministry of Health and Population announced the registration of a new infection with monkeypox.
The Ministry of Health stated that the new infected case was in contact with the case whose detection was announced on 8 December.
The Ministry of Health and Population stated that the 34-year-old infected with monkeypox had contact with a person residing in a European country during his visit to Egypt, and the patient is being treated in a hospital affiliated with the Ministry of Health and Population.
Epidemiological investigation plans
The discovery of the case comes within the measures taken in the epidemiological investigation plans and follow-up of close contacts of positive cases, within the national strategy of the Ministry of Health and Population for preparedness for emerging diseases, and the activation of the national surveillance system for infectious diseases of epidemiological importance, which can immediately detect any infectious diseases.

People most susceptible to monkeypox virus
1. Immunocompromised patients, such as AIDS patients.
2. Patients with leukemia and lymphoma.
3. Pregnant women.
4. Lactating.
5. People with chronic diseases.
Symptoms of monkeypox virus infection
1. Headache.
2. Pain in the muscles of the body.
3. Back Pains.
4. Enlarged lymph nodes.
5. Fatigue and fatigue.
6. After one to three days, the rash appears.
