Egypt was able to achieve great and prominent success in the digital transformation file and the governance of health care services, which achieves justice in providing the best medical service to citizens, and achieving comprehensive health coverage for all segments of society.
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, affirmed that the Egyptian state considers digital transformation processes as the main force for any society seeking to develop its health services.
Egypt Goals Conference
The Minister of Health and Population's speech came during his participation in the annual conference for the development of health care "Goals of Egypt 2023" under the slogan "Investing in health care for a sustainable future."
The minister indicated that the “Goals of Egypt 2023” conference will enrich its activities and activities in support of the Egyptian and Arab health work process, stressing that the Egyptian state is proceeding according to an advanced strategy to achieve more successes in digital transformation processes, the most important of which are:
1- Cooperation and coordination between Arab countries in the field of medical training.
2- Developing a plan for training teams of doctors.
3- Overcoming the challenges that may face the health systems in the Arab countries.
4- Filling the gap between the human cadres of the medical teams in all specialties.
5- Facilitating the access of every citizen to his right to health
6- The importance of training the human elements based on the implementation of digital health transformation processes.
Investing in the health field
The minister stressed that investment in the health field is very important for the health development process, in cooperation with Arab countries and pushing them to direct investment, whether in the field of governmental or private hospitals.
He explained that the Ministry of Health and Population is making every effort to attract foreign investments and direct them to the public and private sectors in Egypt, in line with achieving the goals of sustainable development 2030.
Investing in the medical tourism sector
The Ministry prioritizes investment in the medical tourism sector, which is of urgent importance to achieving comprehensive health coverage in all Arab countries.
The Ministry also reviewed the experience of developing the health care system and implementing the comprehensive health insurance system, which is being implemented in the governorates (Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, Luxor and South Sinai) and includes all segments of Egyptian society in a fair and equal manner.
This coincides with several other development projects, such as the Decent Life Initiative and the President of the Republic's initiatives under the slogan (100 million healthy lives).
The ministry also reviewed its efforts and success in the pharmaceutical manufacturing file, and Egypt's willingness to cooperate with Arab countries to coordinate investment in the field of manufacturing medical devices with the aim of achieving self-sufficiency.
