Within these efforts comes the national initiative to localize the industry, “Start”, which came among many initiatives launched by the state to achieve development and transition towards the new republic that guarantees a decent life for all.
3 main goals
In this regard, Dr. Mohamed Shady, a researcher at the Egyptian Center for Thought and Studies, said that the “Start” initiative has 3 main goals. The first is to provide job opportunities for a large number of Egyptians through the creation of small and medium industrial projects. A decent life, pointing out that a decent life now provides adequate housing and infrastructure, in addition to raising the efficiency and readiness of Egyptian villages so that citizens do not have to migrate to cities.

He added that “a decent life” lacks the provision of job opportunities for citizens, while the “Start” initiative works to establish industrial complexes to invest in unexploited lands in the Egyptian countryside, as well as investing in the comparative advantage of citizens in those villages, in addition to establishing large and medium projects that serve On large projects such as home appliances and cars factories instead of importing products from abroad with the aim of reducing the gap between imports and exports, providing production inputs while creating job opportunities for citizens.
Objectives of the " Start" initiative
He continued, that the second goal of the Start initiative is to provide part of the import bill through the role played by the aforementioned initiative, while the third goal is concerned with the localization of technology through partnerships with producers who help increase production, pointing out that partnerships have not occurred before. Because it needs a very large cost.
On the other hand, some advertisements attributed to the Ministry of Manpower circulated claiming to provide job opportunities for young people in companies outside Egypt, and the Media Center of the Council of Ministers contacted the Ministry of Manpower, which denied these reports.
The ministry confirmed that there is no truth to the circulating advertisements attributed to the ministry, which claim to provide job opportunities for young people in companies outside Egypt, explaining that these advertisements, as well as the circulating websites, are fake and fake, and the ministry has nothing to do with them at all.
