The Ministry of Finance announced the details of the largest auction for the sale of European and Gulf cars at Cairo Airport.

The Ministry of Finance continued, in its statement, that the Customs Authority is supervising the auction that will be held on March 22, 2023 in the Gezira Sporting Club Hall, for the sale of 41 private cars, which are stored in the yard of Cairo International Airport.

Individual auction

The Ministry of Finance confirmed that it is possible to enter the auction on one car, where the national ID card is presented to ordinary individuals, provided that it is valid.

Corporate auction

For companies and exhibitions, those who wish to obtain a number of cars must submit a tax card, as a condition of entering the auction, for those who are subject to it from car dealers.

The participant in the auction has the right, during the inspection process, to accompany other people who have experience in inspecting cars, including maintenance and plumbing personnel.

Those wishing to enter the car auction, Cairo Airport Customs, must purchase the conditions document, and after the auction is awarded, they must pay 30% of the deal price as soon as the auction is awarded.

In the event of non-payment on the same day, the temporary insurance is the right of the administrative authority.

The bidder shall pay the price in cash at the Authority’s treasury or by an acceptable bank check, and the rest of the amount shall be paid within 15 days from the day following the awarding of the auction.

Conditions for receiving the vehicle 

the Ministry of Finance added in its statement that in the event of non-attendance and receipt at the specified time, 1% will be collected for each day of delay, with a maximum of 7 days, and in the event of non-receipt after those periods the contract is canceled and the final insurance is confiscated in favor of the administrative authority with deduction of the value of the administrative expenses due in addition to any fines that the administrative authority deems appropriate.
