Best performing sectors in the market
Hossam Eid, head of the investment sector at Cairo Securities Brokerage Company, believes that the best performing sectors in the market during the current period are real estate, non-bank financial services, and medicines.
The list of the best-performing sectors on the Egyptian Stock Exchange last week did not deviate from the sectors nominated by experts, and was topped by the banking sector, with a share of 18.5% of transactions, at a value of 1.22 billion pounds.
It was followed directly by non-banking financial services, with a share of 18.3% of transactions, at a value of EGP 1.209 billion, then basic resources, at 15.7%, at a value of EGP 1.039 billion, and real estate, at 14.9%, at a value of EGP 986 million.

Last week, the Egyptian Stock Exchange indices were on a collective rise, as the main market index, (EGX30), rose by 6.26%, closing at 15,625 points.
The (egx70) index of small and medium stocks increased by 8.08%, closing at 2765 points, and the broader (EGX100) index increased by 7.65%, closing at 4106 points.
