The Chamber of Tourism Companies said that it had received a letter from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities regarding the work system for the Umrah season 1444 Hijri during the next month of Rajab and the personal visa.

Last travel date

According to the Chamber of Companies publication The last date of travel in the following month of Rajab is 24 Rajab, and the last date of return is 28 Rajab 1444 Hijri.

Validity of the regulatory code

It is scheduled that the validity of the regulatory code will be 7 days from the date of the General Administration of Tourism to review the programs, and not from the date of travel.

Personal visa

With regard to the personal visa, it will be listed on the Egyptian Umrah portal with a complete Umrah program and accompanied by a supervisor, whether for those who are issued the regulatory code for the first time or when renewing it.

Adjusting the Umrah trips of Rajab, Shaaban and Ramadan

The regulatory decision aims to control the Umrah trips of Rajab, Shaaban and Ramadan, with the aim of protecting the pilgrims from flight and hotel crises, since there are large numbers of people who have issued personal visas for the months of Shaaban and Ramadan.

The Chamber of Tourism Companies confirmed that the Egyptian Umrah portal succeeded in providing its services to citizens traveling to perform Umrah under the supervision of the Ministry of Tourism for contracts between the company and the pilgrims, as the contract on the portal is lifted electronically; Then the company becomes obligated to implement all the terms of the contract, namely:

• Means of travel and internal transportation in the Holy Land.

• Standard of hotel accommodation.

• Logistical services such as meals and means of transportation to the sanctuary if the residence is at a distance of 500 meters.

• In addition to the presence of a supervisor for each group provided by the tourism company and has sufficient experience to serve the pilgrims, and to provide them with all means of comfort.

The Chamber of Tourism added that the Egyptian portal for Umrah contributed greatly to the completion of travel procedures for pilgrims easily and smoothly, amid support, participation and continuous coordination between the Ministry of Tourism, the Chamber of Tourism Companies and the Supreme Committee for Hajj and Umrah.

The Chamber of Tourism pointed out that obtaining the identification code "barcode" from the Egyptian portal for Umrah is a prerequisite for citizens to travel to perform Umrah rituals from airports and ports; In accordance with Law No. 72 of 2021 regarding the establishment and operation of the portal.

The Chamber of Tourism explained that any traveler for Umrah outside the gate considers his travel procedures illegal and his travel may be postponed until the completion of the procedures stipulated in the gate law.

The Chamber of Tourism pointed out that these measures aim to preserve the rights of citizens and not expose them to any fraud that takes place through dealing with brokers, intermediaries and fictitious entities.
