A housing initiative for all Egyptians

"Housing for all Egyptians" is the initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which presented the first Egyptian national initiative for green social housing buildings in the region.

The affordable housing units in the Housing for All Egyptians initiative will not be limited to the concept of shelter, but will meet the basic requirements of the population by providing all necessary services that follow strategies to combat climate change, promote greater sustainability and resilience, and at the same time fulfill the commitment of the Fund. By providing one million affordable housing units.

The CEO of the Social Housing Fund added: Since we believe that the relationship between climate and housing goes in two directions, housing through its construction and continuous life has an impact on the environment, and the environment also has an impact on housing and families.

Building 25,000 units

She indicated that the “Sakan for All Egyptians” program has adopted the Green Pyramid Classification System (GPRS), as the construction of the first 7,000 pilot units of the program, which will be approved by the Green Pyramid Classification System, has already begun, with the aim of building 25,000 units over the next two years, and all building materials are environmentally friendly. Besides consuming as little energy as possible.

The Green Pyramid system offers climate-friendly practices throughout the life of the buildings, and there will be a real opportunity for members to visit one of the green social housing projects of the Social Housing Fund in the Capital Gardens City.
