Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohamed Maait, said that the Plan and Budget Committee approved a draft law exempting Egyptians abroad from customs duties.
Muhammad Maait explained that the Customs Authority will have bank accounts, the registration site, and a schedule of the type and fees of each car; The deposit is transferred, and it will be for a period of 4 months after the adoption of the law.
The Minister of Finance pointed out that the matter is related to transferring the amount (the value of taxes) within 4 months to the bank account, so that the value of the car is free of the value of taxes and customs. And the curse of the poultry feed crisis, he stressed that work will be done to finish it during the coming period.
The Minister of Finance explained, "The ministry will issue a list of car prices and the amounts required to be deposited in the form of a deposit within 4 months, explaining that registering the car and linking the deposit is within 4 months only."
Maait affirmed that it is permissible to bring a car to an individual, whether personally or to any of his family members, provided that a bank account is 3 months old.
