The Ministry of Social Solidarity emphasized the importance of the childhood file in all sides Beginning with the family, nursery and school, childhood and motherhood center, cultural club, social club, pioneer clubs, rehabilitation centers, care institutions for children without care, foster and alternative families, specialized NGOs and children’s media, game industry companies and other institutions that contribute to the upbringing and upbringing of children.

40 million children under the age of 18

  The Ministry of Social Solidarity indicated that the number of children in Egypt, according to the latest data issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, exceeded 40 million children (under 18 years).

  While the number of adolescents and youth (from 10 to 24 years old) is estimated at nearly 29 million people, or half of the Egyptian population.

The Ministry of Solidarity indicated its keenness to give special priority to children, and uphold the best interest for them, with the aim of improving their growth indicators at all stages of their lives.

6 million children

The Ministry explained that there are 6 million children from the first in care who benefit from the "Takaful" Program and the Program for Promoting Equal Educational Opportunities, with a total of 4 billion pounds annually.

  In addition, cash support “Karama” is provided to a total of 137,000 students with disabilities, at a cost of 580 million pounds annually.

  Social solidarity with partner NGOs supports 400,000 orphaned Egyptians without parents or one parent, with a total of more than one billion pounds annually.

Building 120 nurseries 

The Ministry explained that 1,200 nurseries have been built and developed, bringing the total number of nurseries to 27,000, benefiting more than one million children under the age of 4.

The Ministry reported that the Positive Education Program carried out 300,000 visits by 3,000 community leaders to a total of 120,000 families, to educate them on ways to properly educate their children.

Life skills programs for addiction prevention have also been implemented in 17,000 schools, 1,400 youth centers and 14 public universities, as well as the positive education curriculum and the alternative care strategy.
