To attract 30 million tourists annually.. The president defines axes for the development of tourism work

It is certain that this time is the time of the Egyptian state's interest in the "locomotive of development" of Egyptian tourism, and the best evidence of this is the continuous and continuous meetings of senior state leaders with tourism investors and stakeholders, to solve problems, remove obstacles and overcome the difficulties facing them to advance this important facility for the Egyptian economy.

These meetings started with the Minister of Tourism, passing through the Prime Minister, and the last of which was the meeting of President Sisi with Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Ahmed Issa, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities.

In this meeting and according to the statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic, it is clear that the President focused on 10 main axes of the tourism sector strategy during the coming period, namely:

1- The need to present plans to stimulate the investment climate in various tourist destinations in Egypt

2- The need to increase the number of hotel rooms, especially since Egypt needs 200,000 new hotel rooms to accommodate the tourist demand for them during the next four years.

3- The need to continue developing the tourism industry at all levels, and this requires all parties related to tourism work to play the role assigned to it.

4- Continuing the growth of incoming tourism to Egypt, which achieved positive indicators during the first half of this year.

5- Achieving the target that the Egyptian state seeks to reach the number of tourists to 30 million annually by 2028.

6- Emphasizing the need to continue intensive work to revitalize the tourism sector, in an investment of Egypt's unique tourism potential, and its ancient cultural and civilizational heritage that extends through different historical eras.

7- Intensifying work in tourism projects, encouraging and attracting investments from the local and foreign private sectors, by providing the necessary facilities and facilities in this regard.

8- Making the most of the integration of the tourism sector with the comprehensive development process in various sectors at the state level.

9- Emphasis on the need to continue efforts aimed at continuous improvement in the quality of the Egyptian tourism product, in accordance with the requirements of the target markets and the highest international standards in this regard, indicates that there is a great desire on the part of the political leadership to improve the quality of the tourism product, and thus obtain a large part of tourism high-spending global

10- Diversifying the Egyptian product to include all types of international tourism at all levels.
