The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities stated that Ahmed Issa, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, issued two ministerial decisions to form the internal review and governance committees in the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion and the Tourism and Antiquities Support Fund.

The Ministry of Tourism added, in a statement, that one of the two committees includes 3 experienced members of the board of directors to which the committee belongs, chosen by the board of each of them, and the committees may seek assistance from whomever they deem fit to achieve the purpose for which they were established.

The Ministry explained that the two committees are responsible for initiating the discussion of the annual internal audit plan prepared by the Chairman of the Tourism Promotion Authority, or the Secretary-General of the Fund, each in his capacity, and submitting a report thereon to the Board of Directors to which each committee belongs, receiving the internal audit reports submitted to the same council under the plan, and submitting proposals. Receiving quarterly analytical reports

The Ministry of Tourism added that the two committees are specialized in receiving quarterly analytical reports of actual performance, prepared by the CEO of the Authority, or the Secretary-General of the Fund, each in his capacity, compared to the annual plans and drawing conclusions from them, and submitting proposals regarding them to the Board of Directors to which each committee belongs, in addition to preparing reports. The Ministry added that, in accordance with the decisions issued by the Minister of Tourism, each committee is scheduled to choose a chairman from among its members in its first session, and each of them will hold its meetings at least 4 times a year, or whenever the need arises at the invitation of its chairman or at the request of the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Opening of archaeological sites
