The Egyptian company did not receive offers to sell its share in Vodafone
The Egyptian company denied that it had received any official offers to sell part of its share in the Vodafone Egypt company, stressing that it had not received any official.
Bloomberg news agency quoted sources that have not been identified, that Qatar is in advanced talks with Egypt to invest about $ 2.5 billion, by purchasing government shares in companies that may include Vodafone Egypt.
The Investment Authority in Qatar is likely to obtain about 20 % of the shares of Vodafone Egypt, among the share of Egypt's contacts in the company, amounting to 45 %.
The British Vodafone Group has 54.9 % of Egypt Vodafone's shares, while Egypt has owned about 45 % of it since 2017.
