On the closing day of the Egypt International Petroleum Conference and Exhibition (EGYPS 2023), Eng. Tarek El-Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, witnessed the signing of a set of memorandums of understanding and joint cooperation agreements between the petroleum sector and a number of international companies.

  This comes within the framework of expanding partnerships, opening new horizons and opportunities for businesses in the Egyptian petroleum sector, and supporting digital transformation activities, environmental sustainability and carbon reduction.

Memorandum of Understanding between EGAS and Shell

The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and Shell signed a memorandum of understanding to evaluate waste management for converting it into sustainable jet fuel.

Sale of civil jet fuel

The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation signed a contract with the Saudi energy company Epsco to sell jet fuel at Cairo International Airport.

  This comes in light of the continuous efforts of the petroleum sector to attract new investments, as APSCO Energy Company is one of the leading companies in the world and the Kingdom in supplying aviation fuel and lubricants.

Memorandum of Understanding with a Chinese company

The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese company CCDC Middle East, a subsidiary of the Chinese National Petroleum Corporation, to apply modern systems for occupational safety, health and environmental protection on drilling rigs.

Supporting digital transformation projects

A framework agreement was signed between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation and Cisco to support digital transformation projects, provide the latest solutions and programs, and provide technical support in order to secure and protect the infrastructure of the petroleum sector.

Green hydrogen

Petrojet and DNV signed a memorandum of understanding to support Petrojet's participation in green hydrogen production plants projects.

Digital transformation in oil and gas

Sun Misr and Huawei Technologies Egypt signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in the use of ICT infrastructure events for digital transformation in oil and gas.
