“Housing cooperatives” offer 361 residential unit in several new cities

The head of the General Authority for Building and Housing Cooperatives, Engineer Walid Al-Baroudi, confirmed that the authority will offer 361 investment housing units in distinct locations in its projects (New Cairo Pearl - Badr Pearl - October Pearl - Tenth of Ramadan Pearl).

Al-Baroudi explained, in a statement to the authority today, that the areas of the offered housing units start from 95 square meters to 155 square meters, including the garage.

Payment facilities

Payment facilities of up to 7 years, with the exception of the Pearl of the Tenth of Ramadan, with payment facilities of up to 10 years, provided that delivery is in July. 2024, indicating that in the event of full payment "cash", 20% of the unit price will be deducted and the lottery will not be entered.

All conditions

The head of the Building and Housing Cooperatives Authority added that it is possible to obtain the conditions brochure to know the specifications, financial amounts and all conditions in return for paying an amount of 300 pounds, from June 12 to June 27, at the authority’s main headquarters (3 Samir Abdel Raouf Street - Makram Extension- Obaid - Nasr City).

He pointed out that reservations and applications will be made for the housing units offered in the Pearl New Cairo project, during the period from 4 to 13 July, the Badr Pearl project from 17 to 26 July 2023, the October Pearl project from 31 July to 10 August 2023, and the The Pearl of the 10th of Ramadan during the period from 14 to 24 August 2023.

Public lottery

A public lottery will be conducted among applicants to allocate the offered housing units in the New Cairo Pearl project on September 3, 2023.

  The public lottery for the Pearl Badr project will take place on September 6, 2023, and the public lottery for the October 6 Pearl project will be on September 11, 2023.

  The public lottery will be held to allocate the offered housing units in the Pearl 10th of Ramadan project on September 14, 2023.

The draw for each project will take place at 12:00 noon at the El Alamein Club in front of the Authority’s main headquarters.

Social Housing

In this regard, the Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Support Law established controls and put forward social housing projects and supervised their implementation, with the aim of providing adequate housing for citizens and achieving a "decent life" for them.

In accordance with the law, the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, within the framework of the state's economic and social development plan and in accordance with the social housing program, proposes, plans and puts forward social housing projects and supervises their implementation, with the aim of providing adequate housing for low- and middle-income citizens and small family plots for people with medium incomes.

The social housing program includes the following:

(a) Providing housing units for low-income people in the areas specified by the Ministry of Housing in the governorates and new urban communities.

(B) Providing plots of land intended for construction with a maximum of 400 square meters, and housing units with a maximum of 120 square meters, for middle-income people in the new urban communities or areas specified by the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities.

The distribution takes place by direct allocation or lottery, and the Council of Ministers issues a decision regarding the conditions that must be met by those who apply to obtain these housing units or lands, in accordance with the general frameworks stipulated in Article (8) of this law.

A citizen may not benefit from more than one unit of the social housing program, whether they are housing units or plots of land prepared for construction.

This prohibition includes the person and his family, which consists of his wife and minor children.
