Dr. Assem Al-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, stated that the Board of Directors of the New Urban Communities Authority agreed to amend and approve the mechanism of permanent offering of small residential plots of land (the most distinguished - distinguished - medium) through the website of the “Maskan” program, and an amendment to some conditions. the proposal.

The Minister of Housing explained that the Authority’s Board of Directors had previously approved the mechanism for permanently offering small vacant residential plots of land (at all levels) in all new cities, for immediate reservation through the Authority.

  This is based on the initiative of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to provide housing for all citizens of all segments of society, with the aim of controlling the real estate market, and providing plots of land for citizens who wish to build their own housing, in a permanent and easy manner.

Small residential plots

The Minister confirmed that the mechanism of permanent offering of small residential plots of land at all levels in new cities, for immediate reservation, achieved remarkable success, and witnessed a great demand from citizens during the first and second offerings, in accordance with this mechanism.

He explained that the Authority’s Board of Directors periodically reviews and evaluates the conditions and controls of the offering, and amends what is necessary, in order to achieve the desired goal of the permanent offering mechanism, and provide the opportunity for the largest number of citizens to obtain residential plots of land and build their own homes.

Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar pointed out that the amendments approved by the Authority’s Board of Directors regarding the mechanism of permanent offering of residential plots of land included:

  - Canceling the condition that the applicant, his wife, or his minor children must not previously obtain a housing unit or a plot of land within a social housing project, in order to make it easier for clients and speed up the completion of decision procedures.

  - Cancellation of the condition that there is no precedent for allocating any plot of land in new cities to the applicant (husband/wife) regarding plots of land (distinctive - medium).

- Adding a condition that the applicant (husband/wife) must not have previously obtained a distinctive or medium plot of land within the “Maskan” program.

Effective date of the conditions

The Minister of Housing added that these conditions apply as of the third offering, which began on August 22nd, and will continue for two months until next October 21st, and the remaining conditions and procedures contained in the decision of the Board of Directors of the New Urban Communities Authority will be implemented in its session No. 172 on 9/2022. 29.
