610 billion pounds... The cost of development and reconstruction of Sinai

On the sidelines of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's inspection of the equipment participating in the implementation of the state's plan for the development and reconstruction of Sinai, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, in Ismailia, spoke about plans to develop Sinai.
Madbouly said, we focused on the war on terrorism, in parallel with the real development that Sinai has not witnessed in its history.

The prime minister indicated that 610 billion pounds have been spent in implemented investments, which are being implemented in the Sinai Peninsula.
He stressed that Egypt has spent 610 billion pounds on integrated development and urban development in the Sinai.
He continued, there has been a complete link between the western Suez Canal and Sinai, through a group of tunnels and bridges to serve development.
He explained that the road network in Sinai is at the highest international level, including:
6 tunnels under the Suez Canal
7 floating bridges
A huge range of routes exceeding 3,000 km
It has axes sufficient for the development process for the next 50 years.
5 airports have been built in Sinai
Sea and dry ports have been implemented at the highest level at a cost of $44 billion.
60 axes and roads with a length of 1,600 km have been implemented.
23 axes with a length of 420 km are being implemented.
There are plans to implement seven projects with a length of 440 km.
Suez Canal revenues
He pointed to the importance of the Suez Canal to serve development in the world, stressing: "The revenues of the Suez Canal jumped from $5.4 billion to $7.9 billion."
