The Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, confirmed that after his recent visit, accompanied by a number of government ministers, to North Sinai Governorate, there were directives from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to bring about a shift in the development work of the governorate.

Modernizing road axes

He explained that the development work includes, modernizing road axes, as well as Providing various services, so that the citizens of North Sinai feel the improvement in the quality of the services provided to them.

Development of the Sinai Peninsula

The Prime Minister revealed that the development of the Sinai Peninsula will begin in the Arish Governorate in northern Egypt on the Mediterranean Sea, through the establishment of coastal tourist resorts and a tourist walkway, and the establishment of industrial complexes near the Suez Canal region, and linking Arish with the Suez Canal region.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly indicated that it will start in the city of Arish, and then work will continue successively in the rest of the cities and villages of the governorate, as part of the state's targeted plan for the development of North Sinai Governorate.

Coastal axis

He stated that the coastal axis will be developed through the establishment of coastal tourist resorts and a tourist walkway, and the establishment of industrial clusters near the Suez Canal region to work as complementary cities with the cities of the region, with the establishment of a logistical axis based on the mineral resources in the governorate and connected to the Suez Canal region.

Rural communities

He referred to the establishment of proposed rural communities near urban agglomerations to build urban communities, and the establishment of a hub for heavy and logistical industries on the mineral resources of the governorate, with the implementation of agricultural areas based on available water resources, and the development of fishing and fisheries activity.
