Dr. Asim Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, through the Badr City Development Authority, followed up the procedures for the initial delivery of a number of housing units for state employees moving to the new administrative capital.

(Zahret al-Asimah), the first phase, which includes 376 buildings with 9042 housing units, in Badr City, pointing out that the project includes 3 schools, 2 nurseries, 2 bakeries, 2 medical centers, 4 commercial markets, playgrounds and places of worship.

Apartments for state employees moving to the New Administrative Capital

Dr. Asim Al-Jazzar stressed the necessity of facilitating procedures for state employees moving to the Administrative Capital to receive their units allocated to them, with full facilities and services. Stressing the need to pay attention to the quality of implementation. As well as the timings, in the second phase of the capital’s staff units, especially since there is a great demand from employees to book in these units.

He stressed the implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, that the move to the new administrative capital be a comprehensive development of the state's administrative apparatus.

Procedures for handing over apartments to state employees

In the same context, Eng. Ammar Mandour, head of the Badr City Authority, stressed the facilitation of all procedures within the headquarters of the agency.

A number of customer service employees at the agency have been assigned to deal with state employees to whom these units are assigned, in order to quickly complete all procedures, including applying for water, electricity, and gas meters, and handing them the unit receipt report.

Staff housing buildings project in the New Administrative Capital

It is worth noting that the project for staff housing buildings in the New Administrative Capital, "phase two", in Badr City, includes 196 buildings with 4,704 units. 

Asphalt works and green landscaping are currently being implemented at the site, and the implementation rate for buildings exceeded 89% of the project. Electricity works have also been carried out at an advanced rate, and cables have been supplied in the project, in addition to utilities works (water, sewage, irrigation, chopping roads) and roads.

The most prominent achievements made in the city during the last period are:

1- Establishing new civilized markets to serve the residents of the city, including the typical Badr market, the one-day market, the Subico hypermarket, and the Khallal hypermarket.

2- The opening of new schools for technical, secondary, basic and experimental education, in addition to the establishment of schools in Zahrat Al-Asimah to serve the employees of the Administrative Capital.

3- Establishing the Badr Sports Club on an area of 27 acres at a cost of 160 million pounds, and implementing the Badr Downtown project (Al Zaeem) and the recreational area for Badr University.

4- Completing the handover of the second phase of the capital's staff housing, and completing the construction of 7,080 units in the third phase.
