Egypt attaches great importance to the Climate Summit (COP27), which is scheduled to be held this month in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh, from 6 to 18 November.
Egypt is organizing the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 27), an international treaty signed by most countries of the world with the aim of limiting the impact of human activity on the climate.
It is an annual summit and is one of the global conferences attended by 197 countries in order to confront climate changes that threaten life on the globe, and what these countries are doing to confront and address this problem. The conference is the 27th since the entry into force of the United Nations Convention on Climate Change in March 1994.

The climate conference is receiving great attention from all countries of the world, so it is expected that more than 100 heads of state from all over the world will attend, led by the President of the United States, Joe Biden.
Climate change in Africa and the issue of water are at the forefront of the topics covered by the COP27 climate conference.
The COP 27 Climate Summit seeks to renew solidarity among countries to implement the historic Paris Agreement for the sake of people and planet, and to limit global warming.

As part of its preparations for the Cop27 Climate Summit, the Ministry of Environment set three axes, which are as follows:
1- Equipping special facilities with the participation of people with special needs.
2- Organizing the civil society day at the summit, highlighting its role and success stories
3- Providing 1,000 volunteers to participate in the summit, and the ministry received 9,900 volunteer requests from 80 countries
4- Selecting 1,300 volunteers from among them, based on the criteria of diversity and respect for difference.
