The report indicated that May’s exports amounted to $449 million, a growth rate of 25%, and June’s exports amounted to $375 million, a 3% decrease, while July 2023 exports amounted to about $375 million, a growth rate of 50%, compared to July 2022’s exports of $250 million. .
He explained that exports to Arab countries topped the list of the most important international groups importing Egyptian processed food during the first seven months of 2023, with a value of $1361 million, representing 53% of total food exports, achieving a growth rate in value of 13%.>
Followed by the European Union with a value of $513 million, a growth rate of 8%, representing 20% of total exports, non-Arab African countries, with a value of $190 million, representing 7% of total exports, and achieving a growth rate in the value of exports amounting to 15%, and the United States of America, with a value of $133 million, representing 5% of total exports, achieving a decline of 15%. The rest of the international groups amounted to $398 million, which represents 15% of total Egyptian food exports during the same period.
Importing food industries
As for the most important countries in the world importing food industries during the first seven months of 2023, Sudan ranked first with a value of $242 million, with a growth rate of 147% and a growth value of $144 million, compared to exports for the same period in 2022.
