The value of UAE investments in Egypt witnessed an increase to $5.7 billion during the fiscal year 2021/2022, compared to $1.4 billion during the year 2020/2021, an increase of $4.3 billion, an increase of 300.8%.

According to the data report of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, trade exchange between Egypt and the Emirates witnessed an increase of $4.9 billion during the year 2022, compared to $4.8 billion during the year 2021, an increase of 2.5%.
Egyptian exports
The value of Egyptian exports to the UAE increased by $1.9 billion in 2022, compared to $1.8 billion in 2021, an increase of 10.6%. The most important commodity groups exported by Egypt to the UAE during 2022 included pearls, precious stones, and jewelry worth $840.5 million, and machinery, electrical appliances, and their parts worth $242.2 million. Remittances from Egyptians working in the UAE increased to about $3.5 billion during the year 2021-2022, compared to about $3.4 billion during the fiscal year 2020-2021, an increase of about 3%, according to data issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics in Egypt. On the other hand, the value of remittances from Emiratis working in Egypt amounted to about $35.8 million during the fiscal year 2021-2022, compared to $39.1 million during the fiscal year 2020-2021, a decline of about 8.4%.
Trade exchange between Egypt and the UAE The value of Egyptian exports to the UAE recorded $1.9 billion in 2022, compared to $1.8 billion in 2021, an increase of 10.6%. The value of Egyptian imports from the UAE amounted to $2.9 billion in 2022, compared to $3 billion in 2021, a decrease of 2.3%. The report also revealed details of the goods and products that Egypt imported from the UAE in 2022, most notably: fuel, mineral oils, and their distillation products, worth $810.2 million, and plastics and their products, worth $582.7 million. The report indicated that among the commodities were pearls and precious stones worth $254.8 million, copper and its products worth $247.2 million, and fish worth $155.7 million.
$3.5 billion in remittances from Egyptians from the UAE The value of remittances from Egyptians working in the UAE amounted to $3.5 billion during the fiscal year 2021/2022, compared to $3.4 billion during the fiscal year 2020/2021, an increase of 1.4%. Remittances from Emiratis working in Egypt recorded about $35.8 million during the fiscal year 2021/2022, compared to $39.1 million during the fiscal year 2020/2021, a decrease of 8.4%.
