The return is disbursed in advance for three years at a cumulative rate of (27%) in Egyptian pounds, and the date of issuance of the certificate starts from the working day following the deposit and is considered the basis for return and recovery, and certificates are redeemed in US dollars according to the terms and conditions regulating that.

The new dollar certificates can now be purchased through online banking, Banque Misr Online applications, or Al-Ahly Net, and they can also be purchased from the two banks’ branches throughout the Republic.

  Mohamed El-Atreby, President of the Federation of Egyptian Banks and President of Banque Misr, revealed the details of banks offering dollar certificates at a value of 7%, and certificates of 9%.

He stressed that the dollar certificate is 7% per year for workers abroad and inside, and its duration is 3 years, and the interest is paid every 3 months, and the holder of the certificate has the right to borrow in Egyptian pounds with a maximum of 50%, indicating that there is a condition to tell the bank where the loan will be spent, whether to buy a car or an apartment.

He added that no date has been set for stopping the dollar certificates, and that they are very tempting to buy for Egyptians at home and abroad.
