Investment opportunities in Egypt

The Egyptian government is intensifying its efforts to activate and return foreign investments to the Egyptian market.

After the measures it has taken recently regarding the provision of dollars in banks and the adoption of a flexible exchange rate.

$100 billion

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said that Egypt needs investments of $100 billion over 5 years to bridge the import gap, which amounts to about $30 billion.

$9 billion

Economic expert Hani Geneina said that the data indicates that the tourism sector contributed to saving between 8 and 9 billion dollars.

The Suez Canal also provided nearly 8 billion dollars, without holding the government responsible for providing any hard currency.

Natural gas

The industrial sector in Egypt has a comparative advantage in light of countries' moves to increase their exports, as Egypt has natural gas and a distinguished geographical location, which enhances Egypt's transformation into a strategic location on the African continent.

The Egyptian Minister of Finance, Mohamed Maait, also revealed the Egyptian government's moves to enhance foreign direct investment flows, as the state is implementing a series of reforms to attract more foreign direct investment.

He said that the government is continuing to implement presidential mandates to bring Egyptian exports to $100 billion annually through several export incentives, by providing the necessary cash liquidity.
