The first in the region.. The UAE is the fourth in the world in terms of quality of life for expatriates

The UAE ranked fourth in the world and first in the Arab world and regionally among the best countries in the world in terms of quality of life for expatriates, according to the indicators of the Expat Insider international report.

The UAE outperformed many countries, most notably Switzerland, Denmark and the United States.

Top ten

European countries dominated the top ten in this index, with Spain ranked first, Taiwan and Finland third, the UAE and Australia ranked fifth.

Singapore came sixth, then Portugal seventh, Switzerland eighth, Luxembourg ninth, and Denmark ranked tenth.

UAE.. the only Middle Eastern destination

The UAE ranked fourth, becoming the only Middle Eastern destination in the top ten. The UAE achieved impressive results across all sub-indicators.

Dubai ranked second in the Best Cities for Expats Report issued by the same institution last January.

The city of Valencia in Spain topped the list, followed by Dubai, then Mexico City in the State of Mexico, then Lisbon of Portugal in fourth place, and Madrid of Spain in fifth place.

Dubai ranked first in the “necessities of life for expatriates” index, as well as in the category of dealing with local authorities, as most expatriates indicated that it is easy to deal with local authorities and that they are happy with the government services that the city provides on the Internet.

The UAE provides foreigners with 10 accommodation options:

Golden residency, green residence, virtual residence, accommodation for retirees, work establishment, residence for study, residence of the property owner, residence for family members of foreigners residing in the country, the residence of wives and children of citizens of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf who hold foreign passports, a residence permit for humanitarian cases that are issued by a decision of the head of the authority.

Advantages of the updated visa system

1- Completely dispensing with the sponsorship system in the country, and relying solely on the existing contractual relationship between the worker and the employer.

2- Great flexibility in obtaining services and obtaining a visa in record time.

3- Increasing the duration of the foreigner’s stay inside the country after the expiry or cancellation of his residence in the country, from one month to 6 months.

Golden residence permit

The golden residence permit allows a foreigner to reside in the country for a long period of time consisting of two periods of 5 years each or a full period of 10 years, provided that it is granted to certain categories of resident foreigners.
