Christian Dior had requested that the Ministry of Civil Aviation allow her to land the private planes that would transport her guests to the ceremony at the new Sphinx International Airport in western Cairo, which is 20 minutes away from the pyramids, the venue of the ceremony, and the ministry approved their request, as guests arrived from different countries of the world. On board more than 47 private jets.

Security crews at the highest level

The Ministry of the Interior provided security teams at the highest level to facilitate the arrival of guests from Sphinx Airport to the site of the celebration at the foot of the pyramids, which was performed by a group of the brightest and most famous artists in the world, so that the pyramids would be the backdrop for the ceremony.

The ceremony was covered by a group of the most important media professionals in the channels specialized in the world of fashion and high fashion, which numbered about 80 specialized channels and magazines around the world, and its contract with the Supreme Council of Antiquities stipulated that the press and media coverage be exclusive and its rights are in favor of “Christian Dior”. 

Ibrahim Taha, tour operator at Misr Tourism Company, said that this event is very important for the Egyptian tourist destination because it puts it at the center of international media attention.

International fashion house «Stefano Ricci»

He pointed out that this also happened during the celebration held by the international fashion house "Stefano Ricci" in Luxor to celebrate the golden jubilee of its founding - in the presence of more than 400 people she invited, including many world-famous artistic and political figures - which enjoyed wide follow-up in Egypt.

He added that Egypt has become a destination for parties of international fashion houses, as this was preceded by the fact that the Lebanese fashion designer, Elie Saab, organized a fashion show in Abdeen Palace, last December.

For his part, the British fashion designer, Artistic Director of the group, Kim Jones, said: “We have a passion for lifelong travel, and we are happy with this event. This step is inspired by history, as we continue to explore the world in search of inspiration and see uncommon and unusual species in different environments.”
