In view of the increasing search for Umrah month of Rajab fees, Alaa Al-Ghamry, a member of the General Assembly of the Chamber of Tourism Companies, revealed that many tourism companies organizing Umrah trips for this year have now started offering Umrah programs for the month of Rajab of the Hijri year 1444.
Umrah fees for the year 1444-2023 are scheduled to start at 26 thousand pounds for economic level programs, as tourism companies resorted to many methods to reach these prices in light of the successive rises of the Saudi riyal.
· Reducing the prices of Umrah Rajab for these reasons:
1. Choosing hotels that are somewhat far from the Grand Mosque in Mecca to accommodate the pilgrims.
2. The residences chosen by these companies comply with the regulations set by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities for the residence of Egyptian pilgrims, stating that the distance between the pilgrims’ residence and the Grand Mosque in Mecca does not exceed 3 kilometers.
3. The accommodations chosen by the tourism companies for the residence of their pilgrims are of a very good standard, but their distance from the Grand Mosque in Mecca makes their prices lower.
4. Companies are currently seeking it in their contracts in light of the economic crisis that most Egyptian families are going through to obtain the best quality service at the lowest possible price.
- Reducing the profit margin for tourism companies
Tourism companies are seeking to attract a larger number of pilgrims during the next Umrah month of Rajab, so they have reduced their profit margin to the least amount.
The turnout of Egyptian citizens to travel for Umrah during the month of Rajab and during the mid-school vacations, starting on January 27.
It is noteworthy that the number of Egyptian pilgrims since the beginning of the Umrah season last October 5 until now has reached more than 230,000 pilgrims.
