A person died and dozens were injured as a result of a traffic accident in "Yanbu" Governorate, Saudi Arabia, when a car collided with a person who was crossing the road and a bus carrying dozens of residents.
According to Saudi media; The details of the incident go back to a communication received by the Operations Room of the Industrial Security and Safety Department of the Royal Commission in Yanbu, stating that there was a traffic accident.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Prince Abdulaziz bin Majid Road and Prince Abdullah bin Turki Road, as a result of a car with 3 passengers on board colliding with a pedestrian, which led to its swerving and colliding with a bus carrying 38 passengers of different nationalities, which led to its overturning.
Multiple injuries
The accident resulted in the death of a pedestrian at the scene, as well as multiple injuries to the passengers of the two medium and light vehicles.
The emergency medical center of the Royal Commission in Yanbu indicated receiving and aiding 41 cases, sorting them, and providing health care in a record time, noting that 17 residents were admitted and their condition is stable, and 24 residents were discharged after receiving the necessary treatment.
The Yanbu Authority offered its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased, and called on everyone to abide by traffic safety procedures for the safety of all city residents.
