Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi launched the "start" initiative, with the aim of supporting and localizing national industries.

Engineer Mina William, a member of the National Initiative for the Development of Egyptian Industry "start" revealed the aim of launching the initiative.

Mina William said that the role of the "start"  initiative lies in supporting and developing industrial complexes and areas, and helping defaulters to return to industry again.

Mina William continued, the initiative facilitates support for defaulters through a central work team; Most of their problems consisted of providing raw materials and facilitating the issuance of licenses that would help them expand their activity.

He added that among the goals of the initiative was to reduce the import bill, pointing out that factories were assisted and supported in providing production requirements.

Engineer Mina William explained that the role of the initiative members lies in solving existing problems, and they are also assisted in making a feasibility study for new industrial activities, completing the required papers, and obtaining the necessary financing.

The goals of the "start" initiative are integrated with the national goals of the Egyptian state, its international commitments, and its efforts towards achieving sustainable economic and social growth, providing clean energy solutions, and innovation in the industrial field.

The axes of the National Initiative for the Development of Egyptian Industry "start" are divided into 3 axes:
