The Media Center of the Council of Ministers said that the news circulated by some websites and social media pages regarding the Ministry of Supply providing financial grants to citizens at a value of 2,500 pounds in exchange for registering their personal data through the ministry’s website is incorrect.

The Media Center of the Council of Ministers communicated with the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, which denied these reports, stressing that it is not true to provide financial grants to citizens at a value of 2,500 pounds in return for registering their personal data via the ministry’s website.

Although the Media Center of the Council of Ministers denied this rumor before, it was noticed that it was re-circulated. The website circulating for that news is fake and not affiliated with the ministry at all.

The media center of the council stressed that all forms of support and exceptional grants that are provided to citizens are announced through the official website of the Ministry "www.msit.gov.eg", noting that the Ministry continues to provide the exceptional social protection package that ranges between 100 to 300 pounds, and the beneficiary is more from 10 million families registered on ration cards until next June 30.

The center appealed to all media outlets and social media users to investigate accuracy and objectivity in publishing news, and to communicate with the concerned authorities to make sure before publishing information.

1. Earning a salary higher than 9,600 EGP per month.

2. Owning modern cars. 

3. School fees of 20,000 pounds or more. 

4. Consumption of high electricity bills of more than 650 kW/watt, with a value exceeding 800 EGP per month or more.

5. Owning an agricultural holding of 10 acres or more. 

6. Paying taxes of 100,000 pounds or more. 

7. The deletion of ration cards is done in the event that a company owns a capital of 10 million pounds or more.

 8. Paying a high added value for business owners.

9. To be one of the owners of high exports or imports.

10. In the event of the death of a family member and not submitted a request to remove him from the card.

11. If one of the family members is traveling and is still listed on the card.

12. Not dispensing bread or commodities for 6 consecutive months.

13. In the event of encroachment on agricultural land or building on it.
