In various fields.. Egypt cooperate with Saudi Arabia and Lebanon
Egypt is seeking a partnership with many Arab countries, led by Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.
The Minister of Transport, Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, held a series of bilateral meetings with a number of ministers participating in the events, on the sidelines of the 69th session of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Transport.
Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir, Egyptian Minister of Transport, met Dr. Rumaih bin Muhammad Al-Rumaih, Saudi Deputy Minister of Transport, who conveyed the greetings of Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics Saleh Jasser to his counterpart Al-Masry, and the two sides discussed ways to strengthen joint cooperation between the two sides in the various fields of transport.
Workshop between Egypt and Saudi Arabia
Major General Kamel Al-Wazir said that the work of the Egyptian-Saudi Joint Technical Committee for Land Transport, which aims to facilitate the movement of transport and trade between the two countries, in which it was agreed to hold a workshop between specialists in both countries to review the existing projects in rail, land and sea transport and the extent of benefit from them and the integration between them. The Minister of Transport stated that the sixth session of the Egyptian-Saudi joint committee is being prepared on the sidelines of the Council of Arab Ministers of Transport. Cooperation between the two countries in the field of yacht tourism and cruise passenger ships - Emphasis on the continuity of coordination of maritime search and rescue work between the two countries - Cooperation and coordination in port state control procedures for ships and application of relevant international requirements.
Cooperation between Egypt and Lebanon
On the other hand, the Minister of Transport met with Ali Hamieh, the Lebanese Minister of Public Works and Transport, where they discussed ways to support cooperation between the two sides in the various transport sectors.
The Lebanese Minister of Public Works and Transport expressed keen interest in cooperating with Egyptian contracting companies in the implementation of infrastructure projects because of their great experience in these fields, which was embodied in the giant projects being implemented in Egypt. The Egyptian Minister of Transport also welcomed this step.
He stressed that all Egyptian companies are fully prepared to carry out all the work required by the Lebanese side in accordance with international quality standards. The two sides also discussed a proposal for mutual recognition of mutual laboratory examination. The Egyptian Minister of Transport confirmed that there are joint examination committees for containers at Egyptian ports once, and that this proposal is very important for both sides.
The two ministers discussed the proposal to run the Ro-Ro line between Egypt and Lebanon to increase the movement of trade exchange, exports and imports between the two sides, and it was agreed to hold intensive joint meetings between specialists on both sides to study this important proposal.
