Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Infrastructure Affairs, Engineer Raafat Hindi, confirmed that the application of the remote litigation system in the courts saved about one billion pounds annually for the state, indicating that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology is in the process of establishing an information platform that works through artificial intelligence, in addition to using methods and models for exploration. of groundwater and its storage.

This came during his speech before the Communications and Information Technology Committee in the House of Representatives headed by Representative Ahmed Badawi today, to discuss the state’s general budget for the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in the presence of Eng. Ghada Labib, Deputy Minister of Communications for Institutional Development.

6 technological zones

The Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology added that the telecommunications sector is one of the most growing sectors in the government, pointing out that there are 6 technological zones in addition to the smart village, pointing out that the ministry always seeks to develop and develop rental revenues.

Transformation system

For his part, MP Ahmed Badawi, Chairman of the Committee, confirmed that the Ministry of Communications has made great achievements translated into figures and realistic contributions to the public budget or to society, in addition to its efforts to improve the digital transformation system.

Badawi added that the Communications and Information Technology Committee in the House of Representatives is supportive of all development and modernization efforts undertaken by the Ministry of Communications, in line with the plan of the political leadership to move towards the new republic.

  100.7 billion pounds Investments

In a related context, the economic and social development plan for the new fiscal year 2023/2024, which was reviewed by Dr. Hala Al-Saeed before the plenary session of the House of Representatives, directs investments amounting to about 100.7 billion pounds for the manufacturing sector - in both the petroleum and non-petroleum parts.

It is intended that these investments generate industrial output in the range of EGP 393 billion in the year of the plan, with a growth rate of 21% over the expected industrial output of the previous year.

The plan included the establishment of two industrial complexes to serve high-tech industries.

The infrastructure will also continue to be modernized in a number of industrial complexes, including the plastic industries complex in Margham in Al-Amriya, Damietta Furniture City, and the textile industries zone in both Al-Mahalla Al-Kubra and Kafr Al-Dawwar, as well as completing the development work in the port of Safaga to serve the transportation movement.
