President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi participated in the activities of the high-level "Al-Quds" conference, which was held at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo today.

President Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine, King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the League of Arab States, participated in the conference, along with a number of high-level delegations from the member states of the League.

Culture of peace

President Sisi stressed, during his speech, that Jerusalem has historically been a title of steadfastness, which bears the name of today's conference, and it is unfortunate that this "steadfastness" has become as if it were the fate of that city, as it has suffered in the past, and is still suffering in the present.

El-Sisi added, “I address the government and people of Israel, and say that the time has come to perpetuate the culture of peace, coexistence, and even integration among the peoples of the region.”

 He continued, for this purpose, we have extended our hands to the Arab Peace Initiative, which guarantees the achievement of this in accordance with a fair and comprehensive context.

El-Sisi said "Let's put it together into practice and open the page of hope for future generations, both Palestinians and Israelis".

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas expressed his appreciation to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in light of Egypt's great role in supporting the Palestinian cause for many years.

During his speech before the Jerusalem Conference, Abbas stressed Egypt's great role in achieving Palestinian reconciliation as part of Egypt's historical role in supporting the cause.

Abbas praised Jordan's role under the Hashemite mandate of the sanctuaries in the holy city, in light of a stage in which it is exposed to many violations.
