Al-Sisi requests 1.350 railway cars from Hungary

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi welcomed Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to Egypt.

El-Sisi said that the relations between Egypt and Hungary are a role model in a world that is going through difficulties and challenges at this time.

Bilateral economic relations

The discussions with the Prime Minister of Hungary focused on discussing ways to further strengthen the bilateral economic relations between the two countries, as we agreed on the great benefit accruing to Hungarian investors in investing in Egypt, especially in the Suez Canal economic zone.

 El-Sisi continued: "We also stressed the need to continue forming ties between Egyptian companies and their Hungarian counterparts, as well as exchanging experiences in the fields of agriculture, water management and irrigation."

El-Sisi add,  We discussed Ways of cooperation to confront the global food and energy crises and work to increase the number of tourists between the two countries.

1,350 railway cars

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stressed the importance of implementing the contract for the supply of 1,350 railway cars from Hungary within the agreed timeframes.

 El-Sisi explant, that the meeting touched on the importance of continuing to work to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in the fields of transport, trade, industry, tourism, agriculture, irrigation, water management, culture and education

Sisi praised the decision of the Hungarian authorities to increase the number of university and post-university scholarships offered to Egypt to become 200 scholarships annually, starting from the academic year 2023-2024.

The Hungarian Prime Minister added that his country is very grateful for what Egypt is doing in the matter of illegal immigration, explaining that, Europe's security is linked to the stability of Egypt and the stability of Egypt is very closely linked to the security of Europe.

86 Hungarian and Egyptian companies

 He explants that There is also an Egyptian businessmen forum with 86 Hungarian and Egyptian companies, and this indicates the strength of the relationship between the two countries. We will also be able to form cooperation in nuclear energy.

He added, “We are happy to cooperate with Egypt in the field of industry, and we will not only sell our products, but we will come to Egypt to establish Hungarian-Egyptian companies, and we will manufacture wonderful products in Egypt of high quality.”
