Abbas explained the difference between “housing for all Egyptians” and “social housing,” noting that the first is more comprehensive and general, and was launched in 2020, under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to accommodate all income segments. So that it becomes for everyone, not limited to low-income people, and the units are 90 square meters.

He stressed the continuous follow-up of the executive position of the units, and the services associated with them, to encourage the beneficiaries of the units to move quickly into housing, noting that the social housing units witnessed a great demand and turnout for reserving housing units of various types.

The Assistant Minister of Housing indicated that the prices of housing apartments for all Egyptians in 2023 will range between 350,000 and 450,000 pounds, explaining that prices vary based on the levels of excellence and the city in which the unit is offered.
