Egypt's exports to France increased to $1.8 billion in 2022, compared to $1.1 billion in 2021.

The value of Egyptian exports to France increased in 2022 by 61% compared to exports in 2021, according to a statement from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics today, Wednesday.

According to a statement from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, Egypt's exports to France increased to $1.8 billion in 2022, compared to $1.1 billion in 2021.

The value of Egypt's imports from France amounted to about $2.2 billion in 2022, compared to $1.8 billion in 2021, an increase of 19.2%.

An increase in the value of trade exchange between Egypt and France, to record about $3.9 billion in 2022, compared to $2.9 billion in 2021, an increase of 35%.

The most important commodity groups that Egypt exported to France during 2022 are as follows:

1. Mineral fuels, mineral oils and their distillation products, with a value of $828.8 million. 

2. Fertilizers, at a value of $325.4 million.

 3. Machinery, appliances and electrical equipment with a value of $209.5 million.

4. Inorganic chemical products, worth $76.8 million.

 5. Plastics and articles thereof, with a value of $51.6 million.

The most important commodity groups that Egypt imported from France during 2022:

1. Cereals worth $581.9 million. 

2. Pharmaceutical products with a value of $297.8 million. 

3. Cars, tractors, and bikes, worth $141 million. 

4. Boilers, machinery, equipment and machine tools with a value of $135.2 million. 

5. Various chemical products worth $110.4 million.

It should be noted that, The Egyptian-French relations witness agreement and convergence of visions regarding various international and regional issues, and many commonalities on the official and popular levels made them partners on the political, economic and cultural levels.

Egypt and France enjoy strong relations on several levels. At the political level, the views of Cairo and Paris converged through bilateral dialogues on the peace process in the Middle East, the situation in Lebanon and Sudan, as well as the Iranian nuclear program. The two countries also took similar positions on a number of issues. as well as combating terrorism.

France always praises the Egyptian role in the eastern Mediterranean region, which is represented in its solution to the crises that harm the region, in a way that does not affect the unity and sovereignty of countries in the region.
